September 21,2025#In Wicca, the Autumn Equinox, known as Mabon, symbolizes the balance of light and dark, the second harvest, and a time for gratitude, reflection, and preparing for the darker half of the year. It marks the point where day and night are equal and celebrates abundance while also acknowledging the coming winter and the descent into the underworld, like the Persephone myth. Wiccans may honor this turning of the Wheel of the Year through rituals, creating altars, feasting, and by using this period for inner reflection, goal-setting, and releasing what no longer serves them. Balance of Light and Dark: The equinox is a time when day and night are in balance, representing the duality of light and shadow, work and rest. Second Harvest: It is the time of the second harvest, an opportunity to acknowledge and give thanks for the fruits of one's labor. Gratitude and Reflection: Wiccans express gratitude for abundance and use this period for introspection, evaluating what has been harvested and what needs to be released as the year winds down. Preparation for Winter: Mabon signals the beginning of the darker, colder months, leading practitioners to prepare for the "shadow half" of the year and hibernation. Transition: It is a significant transitional time, linking to myths like Persephone's descent into the underworld and symbolizing the cycle of nature. Create an Altar: Refresh your altar with autumn leaves and other natural items associated with the season. Feast and Share Food: Enjoy large meals and foods symbolic of harvest, such as apples, root vegetables, and grains. Practice Gratitude Rituals: Focus on giving thanks for the abundance in your life. Set Intentions: Work on current goals, develop plans for new ideas, and deepen your practice as the nights grow longer. ( Spells and more).Meditate and Reflect: Engage in rebalancing meditations or other quiet practices to reflect on your spiritual and personal growth. Acknowledge the Shadow: Some rituals may involve releasing old problems or facing hidden fears, acknowledging what no longer serves you to create space for healing. ( Write ✍️ your letters about your life and fax them in to FBI, CIA and iba and more to let go of accussers who hurt you, your whole life).
